For the purposes of this debate, OverTheRainbow refers to a fictional virtual existence where human consciousness is consensually uploaded after physical death. On OverTheRainbow, individuals can exist digitally in their ideal form forever or whenever they want to end it with no aging, illness, or disabilities with Infinite opportunities for love, adventure, and personal growth.

A "chosen family" is a non-biologically related group of people who provide social, sometimes material support. It is based on chosen bonds instead of blood ties, and usually satisfies the role of a traditional family.

”Chosen families" are common in the LGBTQ+ community who have low or no contact with their biological family, usually caused by rejection and/or traumas.

”Low-support-needs autism" refers to a person on the autism spectrum who requires minimal support to manage their daily life and social interactions, meaning they can largely function independently while largely passing as a neurotypical person. For example, only needing certain accomodations when places are too loud, specific material needed for their school uniform, or not picking up on social cues.

Grindr is the biggest location-based social networking and online dating application targeted towards gay, bisexual and transgender people.

On November 2022, Grindr went public and has begun courting investors and making the necessary adjustments to be a public company (e.g: focusing more on monetization and subscription by adding more exclusive features).

Drag is a performance with exaggerated forms of gender expression. It usually involves cross-dressing.

For the purpose of this debate, "drag culture" means common or notable practices done by the drag community, e.g. slang, ball culture.

"Non-gendered" research refers to research where the subject pool is chosen without regard or record of gender identity, and how diseases and/or drugs may impact people with different genders.

Examples of gendered research are autoimmune disorders, alzheimers, certain cancers. Examples of non-gendered research include AIDS, certain generic drugs, etc.

The "green tea bitch" trope refers to female characters who actively work hard to come across as innocent and kind, but are actually intelligent & calculating schemers.
